What Causes Swollen And Itchy Thighs?

I have some swelling on the right side of back of my thigh. It itches terrible and has swollen to about the size of a grapefruit. At first I thought it was a bug bite as there were 2 welts about the size of quarter but now has increased to bigger and itches crazy. should I go to DR or try some home remedy? It feel like there is a fever in it as it is hot.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

I have gone through your query, i will try to give you suggestion which will be helpful to you.
Based on your description I think you could be having varicose veins, it occurs because of dilatation of peripheral veins or blockage in the flow of blood. You need an examination by doctor and also color doppler for confirmation. I advise you to consult your doctor for proper diagnosis.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. I will be glad to help you in case if you have any further queries.

Wish you speedy recovery. Take care.
