What Causes Swollen And Bruised Vein On Hands After Wrist Injury?

hi, i was at work, lifting some heavy buckets. when i picked it ip, my right wrist popped and caused almost automatic pain. then when i looked at it, my vein was swollen and about 20 mins later, a light purple and pinkish/red bruise formed. what is? my hand is a bit swollen & is kind of numb as well.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swollen and bruised vein on hands after wrist injury . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like soft tissue injury like tendon or ligament , dislocation or fracture . There can be other reasons also like gout or arthritis .I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order x-ray , CT scan , or examine physically by checking movement for your hand . Doctor may give plaster with splint , or prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and recommend physical therapy and proper rest . Foe now take proper rest , apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
