Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the golf ball like swelling under the neck can be due to swelling in the Submandibular
Salivary Gland that is an major salivary gland and an important structure present in that area..
It can get swollen with either infection or blockages in the duct of the gland with either foreign body obstructing the duct orifice or stone formation in the duct..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation and investigations like Cross Sectional X-ray or
MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised Antibiotics in case of infection..
In case of obstruction, superficial obstruction is generally removed manually by palpation..
Deeper stones needs surgical removal..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
