What Causes Swelling, Pain And Weakness In Wrist?

I have mild swelling in my left wrist with no obvious bruising. I can t grip well due to pain and weakness and if attempting to hold something with the fingers, my hand will suddenly release. There is also a burning with the moderate pain. There was not a specific moment of injury, although I was active. I had also been having neck and shoulder pain previous to sudden onset of wrist pain. Trying to decide if I need to go in and be seen. Thank you, Stephanie
