What Causes Swelling On The Right Foot?

My husband has a venus ulcer on his right ankle it keeps opening up after he heals it it now is open , he has foot sweeling and all the way up his calf his foot has blue spots all over it , he has seen drs. of most kinds , his medical DR, and a podiatrist but the concern is the swelling . anything we can or should do

Hello,
You mentioned that he has venous ulcer, so that's explain the swelling as well. He probably has got venous insufficiency leading to both ulcer, pigmentation as well as swelling.
Definitive treatment is surgery to close perforators which should clear his problem. He should avoid prolonged standing, elevate his legs during sleep or rest. Restrict salt intake.
