What Causes Swelling On The Left Side Of Face With Tingling Sensation?
I woke up this morning and notice the left side of face ( from my eye to the upper lip) was swollen and had numb tingling feeling. like when the freezing is coming undone after a filling at the dentist.. 12 hours later and it is almost better.. My aunt who has Bell s Paslys says i sould call the dr. but it is feeling a lot better. lip is not swollen but eye is a bit wonky.
Understanding your concern. As per your query swelling on left side of face along with tingling sensation is because of nerve impingement or pressure on facial nerve which can lead to facial paralysis. Need not to worry about it. Visit dentist once and get it examined. Go for physical therapy of facial muscles. Avoid opening mouth extreme wide while jawing. It will resolve its own. If it is not due to dental related cause visit neurologist once and get it examined. Doctor may prescribe MRI of brain as it could be related to stroke. Neurotropic medication such as methylcobalamine is effective to improve your symptoms.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
