What Causes Swelling On The Left Hand?
I have swelling on my left hand . Its the joint just below my 1st finger. This area feels very bruised. I have never had anything quite like this. The bottom of my hand is red and sort of spotted. No known trauma. I woke up like this. It is a little better today and after ice. Heat seems to make it worse.

It could be due to minor contusion happened due to trivial injury. As a first like management you can take analgesics / anti inflammatory combination for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.
