What Causes Swelling On Ffet After Taking Copaxone?
I began using Copaxone 40mg approximately two weeks ago. I take my injections during the evening. I noticed that my feet started to swell. Following injection number 7 I began to suspect that the swollen feet were caused by the 40mg Copaxone. I used 20mg from 2009 and never experienced this side effect. I telephoned the dispensing pharmacy and was advised that approximately 8% of users experience swelling of the hands or feet. Currently it is a weekend and I plan to contact my doctor Monday to discuss this and I will not use again. Have other patients complained about swelling feet or hands?

the drug includes amino acid (components of proteins), so after injection of drug this amino acids cause reaction with immune cells of the body in some sensitive people, and cause allergic type reaction (which are swelling of limb, feet and lips).
