Hello and welcome to HCM,
Snake venom or any other venom is associated with local effects as well as systemic side effects.
The local effects are caused by release of certain chemical substances.
The anti-venom will act and prevent the side effects.
However, due to release of histamine, the selling occurs and thus swelling.
It is unlikely for the histamine to be released after 8 days.
The swelling could be due to some other cause unrelated to the snake bite.
You can consult your doctor for clinical assessment and hence treatment.

Thanks and take care
