What Causes Swelling In The Upper Lip?

Dear Doctor,
My baby girl is about 6 months old now. She got her upper lip swollen from inside her mom. It is quite big. We took her to the local doctors and they said something wrong with her artery or vein. They can do nothing and advised us to wait and see. Please help. Many thanks

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
A capillary hemangioma of the upper lip may cause swelling of the upper lip.
Usually it passes off as the baby grows old.
Other wise they inject sclerosing agents after 2 years.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
