For the past few days my throat has felt swollen. I feel some discomfort when swallowing. And for some reason, the swelling is much worse at night than during the day. I don't think this is a sore throat in the cold sense (although I do have a dry cough, which stops when I drink water). So not sure what this is or how to treat it.
Swelling in the throat mostly due to viral pharyngitis or acid reflux etcetera. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet augmentine twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
