General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

According to your situation the most likely cause of your leg swelling is physical injury. An acute injury may occur from a direct blow, a penetrating injury, a fall, or from twisting, jerking, jamming, or bending a limb abnormally. Pain may be sudden and severe. Bruising and swelling may develop soon after the injury.

As you used some methods to get rid of it. There are other options you can try like elevation, and other first aid measures (such as the application of a brace, splint, or cast), or physical therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
