What Causes Swelling In The Neck After A Tonsillectomy?
Tonsillectomy 17 days postop experiencing severely hard (to the touch & noticeably large looking) glands under jawline with significant neck swelling and pain throughout...is this normal? Not finding much similar info posted by tonsillectomy patients or medical professionals

Post tonsillectomy swelling may be due to congestion or cervicitis facial emphysema or ludwigs angina or allergy to drugs or Anesthesia etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Also possible that bleed into submandibular area.
please consult your ENT specialist he will examine for the cause and treat you accordingly.
