What Causes Swelling In The Left Ear?

Hi, I have been sick for over 13 days, I have a constant headache on the left side of my head, I am always dizzy, I feel like throwing most of time. My left ear is also swollen inside and my ear hurts. I have been taking a nasal spray for 2 days now along with Aerius double action. My throat is the only thing that got better. I have now lost 10 lbs and am starting to get discouraged. What do you think I have? I am 33 yrs od, 6 feet high and usually 200lbs. I had an appendicitis and 2 pancreatis 8 years ago, I have a bad neck, my C-5 is apparently in bad shape for now 10 years but other than stiffening up on me from on the rare occasion, I am usually very healthy.

Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, a mild virus would not have any of these characteristics and a secondary bacterial infection that needs antibiotics MIGHT.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
