General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I would recommend a visit to any of the doctors you are comfortable with, but depending on the location I would worry about a hernia, especially if it is around the region of the incision, which I am doubting at this point because the access made for a hip replacement is usually around the upper thigh/hip region. So as there can be confusion through an online consultation, the cause could be easily established through a physical examination, so please do consider visiting your doctor.

Best wishes.
