What Causes Swelling In The Feet?

I m experiencing swollen ankles and feet. this condition presented itself @ 2 years ago, also in the summer months. I am not wearing tight shoes, I m in sandles, etc. but end up taking them off due to the swelling. Two years ago I was also experiencing shortness of breath and went in for a battery of tests, but other than a slight irregularity in my ekg, everything was fine. However, when you can t walk from point A to point B without being out of breath... you are not fine. (The ultrasound of the heart and lungs and the nuclear stress test both showed that my heart was wonderful...) that is great. In time my shortness of breath lessened. right now I m just very tired (I actually had to take an hour long nap this afternoon, before I began to do the balance of my online final project for school (yes, I m back in school, lol.) YYYY@YYYY I ll be 63 in sept. and have a family history of heart/stroke on my mother s side. Thank you. (I have been taking @ 600 MG ibuprofen for my back pain occassionaly, but not consistently.
