What Causes Swelling In The Feet And Ankles When Diagnosed With Pneumonia?
Had low sodium and was in hospital for three days to bring it up, went back to ER diagnosed with pneumonia was admitted for two weeks to clear it up. My question is why are my feet and ankles swelling for the last four days? I have been discharged from hospital for almost two weeks now.

Pneumonia has no direct relation with body swelling.it can occur in two settings
1. Sometimes pneumonia occurred in a patient of Heart failure or COPD patient who has already compromised heart develop pneumonia. So please consult a cardiologist for echocardiography.
2. The pneumonia patient sometimes develops acute kidney injury that causes swelling of the body so check your blood urea, creatine level.
