What Causes Swelling In The Face And Feet After Taking Nutrilite Protein Powder?

My wife is taking Nutrilitf s protein powder to help losing too much protein in her blood vessel so as to cause water swellon feet and face. But it is not getting better and seems getting worse. Supposedly this kind of protein should be easier to absorb before leaking through her failed kidney but why it is not helping? What is the best way to reduce her face and feet swelling besides taking water pills?

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given, but I am unable to understand what do you mean by "to help losing too much protein in her blood vessel so as to cause water swellon feet and face." Because there is no protein loss in the blood vessel. The swelling that occurs can be due to many different reasons like high BP, under nutrition or hypothyroidism etc. My suggestion is please get her Thyroid assay done and if her STH is above normal, then get it properly treated. Taking protein is good as a nutrition, but there is no relationship to what you have mentioned. Thanks.
