What Causes Swelling In The Ankles And Shortness Of Breath?
My 89 year old mother has swelling in her ankles and shortness of breath. This has been going on for a few months but seems to be worse since she has moved in with us. She had breast cancer and colon cancer within the last 10 years and takes Xarelto for blood clots.

sWelling in ankles and shortness of breath meanz she has a cardiac problem,meanz her heart circulation has been compromised,and her venous system is overload..so she has to do ecg.or echo to look her heart,and ideally I should knw about her any cough history and and sound with respiration,and she may experience any nocturnal symptoms at night,so she should take some diuretic lyk TAB.FURESEMIDE 40mg,to overcome fluid overload..
