What Causes Swelling In Mouth After Eating Cereal?

Whenever I eat cereal, the roof of my mouth swells up. It doesn't hurt, just feels odd. It doesn't matter what type of cereal it is, although it swells more if it is a sugary cereal. It swells up if I eat the cereal with/without milk. I'm just wondering what it means, and if this mean no more cereal in the future?
