What Causes Swelling In Forehead When Exposed To The Sun?

Hi my partner suffers with sweeping of the forehead when being exposed to the sun, after 2/3 days the sweeping then moves down to her nose & eyes making them very puffy. This has happened on the last 2 occasions when being on holiday. Is there anything that she could take to prevent the same thing happening again? Thanks MR Davies

Hi

Your friend seems to have developed sun burns due to exposure to sunlight .
He should take extra care while stepping out in the sun in the form of using a sunscreen on regular basis.
In addition, one should wear a large brim hat to prevent direct sun exposure to face.
Use a sunscreen with spf of atleast 26 atleast thirty minutes before sun exposure .
At present , it would be necessary to apply a topical steroid cream like cortisone over the affected areas twice a day .
