What Causes Swelling In Face And Eyes Having Diagnosed With Down Syndrome?

My daughter is 23 mtgs old she has down syndrome and a chd Tetrolgy of fallot and av canal which were both repaired on Sept last year 7 mtgs ago. They just took her of of all meds. About 8 weeks ago. She was on digixon and lasix. She woke up this am with a very wet cough and her eyes matted shut. She is starting to have swelling in her face. Around her eyes and fore head. What could this be?

The swelling may be due the heart cause for which she was on digoxin and lasix. Both help to control the swelling. Is there any discharge from the eye? Then it may also be an infection of the eye like conjunctivitis leading to the eye swelling. A doctor needs to see your child.
