What Causes Swelling In Eyes?

My 7 year old son ran into a child on Wednesday around 230 pm....no sign sign and sx. .. Other than black eye and swollen eyelib and orbital area...... however he just woke up crying from a headache and my simple further exam revealed a 103.2 f temperature. I gave him motrin and he is back sleeping.... Should I be concerned.... No other SXs such as n&v or dizziness.
