What Causes Swelling Between Upper Eyelid And Eyebrow?

Yes, the area between my upper eyelid and eyebrow is swollen and sore to the touch. Yesterday, I was rubbing my eye and I felt something like a pop in that area. Is this something I should be worried about? I have held ice on it today and the swelling went down, however, after the ice wasn t applied for about 30 minutes the swelling returned. Just wondering if I should see my eye doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, It may be an eyelid bump called Hordeolum, formed due to infection at mouth or inside the gland itself (these glands secretions keeps eye moist) causing redness, swelling and pain. You need its incision and drainage alongwith local antibiotic treatment like ofox drops. consult an ophthalmologist at an early basis.
