What Causes Swelling Around The Glans Penis?

I m a 21 year old male. Today i tried to pull back the foreskin of the penis for the first time for cleaning the glans. It was smooth and did not cause any pain. After sometime i could not make the foreskin go to its normal position. After few hours there was a swelling around my glans (paraphimosis). I tried to pull back but i could nt. I have applied cold water in a bag for 10 mins around the swelling part. Till i could not do it.. Help me solve this issue in home treatment itself.

Hi,

Based on the description, it appears that you have developed paraphimosis.

Since the foreskin is swollen and stuck, it may slow or stop the flow of blood to the tip of the penis. The condition can lead to serious complications if it isn’t treated.

Since applying ice to the area has not given you much relief, it would be better not to try anything else at home. Kindly go to nearest hospital and consult Surgeon for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
