Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As this sounds a case of muscle weakness due to lack of exercises post knee surgery. And at the age of 68, this is the most common problem which is faced.

Doing simple exercises like - Range of motion exercises for the knee, static quadriceps, static hamstring, straight leg raise, ankle toe movements, shoulder range of motion exercises, shoulder stability and flexibility exercise etc should help improve the overall health and reduce the symptoms.

Usually at age 68 exercise plays an important role in allowing the body to be more functional.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
