Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Swelling in the arms may be due to arthritis or cellulitis or lymphedema or preeclampsia or angioedema or reynauds phenomenon, etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please check it out for cervical X-ray and joint X-ray.

If needed color Dopplor if upper limbs. Limb elevation, cold compression and pain killer therapy may useful. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
