What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Arm After Immunotherapy?

taking immunotherapy for allergies. Got my shots at 3:30 today. Now it is 10. My arm still hurts (very similar to bruise pain). The skin under the injection point for about 2 inches is very tender to the touch and feels slightly swollen, but not hard. I get shots in both arms, but only my right arm has this reaction. I have had this pain once before but it only lasted a few minutes. Do you know what caused this reaction? Do I need to talk to my Dr?

Allergist and Immunologist 's  Response
Hi,

This situation may be a consequence of both traumas from injection and reaction from the allergen. Every injection may have a different reaction it varies from different factors. You shouldn’t be worried it will become better after some hours or one day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gjustina Loloci, Allergist and Immunologist
