What Causes Sweating On The Palms And Feet?

What can cause sweaty palms and feet only every once in a while? From time to time I have days where my palms and feet constantly sweat (not soaking but constantly wet like I haven t dried my hands properly after washing). This makes walking quite difficult as heels become slippy. It also causes my hands and feet to swell to the point my rings and shoes struggle to fit without hurting. It usually last one day then I go back to normal.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of Hyperhidrosis, my treatment advice is:

1. Avoid spicy foods and excessive salty diet.
2. Apply an Aluminum chloride lotion daily once at night.
3. Other treatment options are oral hydroxyzine, iontophoresis done by a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
