What Causes Swallowing Difficulty, Ringing Ears And Sore Throat?

I have difficulty swallowing, ear ringing, sore throat, and I feel like I always have a lump in my throat. My doctor told me that she saw that the right side of my tongue is swollen and referred me to an ENT. I am scared because I can t breathe when I have difficulty swallowing, which usually happens in the middle of the night.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I read your query and here is my answer.
How old are you? Since when you have this swelling on the tongue? Is it ulcerated? You swallowing difficulty and ear pain can be explained by the sore throat, which can be treated easily with pain killers and antibiotics. As long as mass in the tongue is concerned, your doctor may think of doing a biopsy of it to know the nature of the mass or if it is inflammatory or infective, you may be given medications for that as well.
Hope i answered your question. Feel free to ask more if you need further assistance before contacting your doctor. Thanks.
