What Causes Swallowing Difficulty Post A Tonsillectomy?

I am 25 and had a tonsillectomy done 9 days ago I now have a very hard time swallowing water it hurts very badly and I have severe ear pain along with it...I also have a bunch of phlem at the back if my throat and I don t know how to clear it can you help?

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
This is expected since there us always still edema and swelling which may persist for up to 2 weeks after surgery. You should have more liquid diet and take no steroid painkillers till pain persist.
