What Causes Sudden Onset Of Weight Loss?

my wife has experienced a sudden loss in weight. she has dropped from a normal 110 pounds to what I am guessing is around 90 to 95 pounds over a period of 2 months or so. I am concerned about her. she has trouble eating even 1500 calories per day although she has always been a very light eater.
