Hi,
Increased heart rate is commonly seen in case of thyroid dysfunctions. It can be due to
sinus tachycardia or
arrhythmia.
It gets triggered in anaemia, anxiety, stress, certain medications, drugs & some medical conditions, congenital cardiac problems.
Hearts rhythm may be normal or abnormal when you may experience palpitations.
Normally heart beats 60-100 beats/min. If it beats below 60/min it is called
bradycardia & if it beats above 100/min its tachycardia.
In either case you should get treated. You are recommended to visit ER, get evaluated & get CBC,
Urinalysis, Lipid function test, ECG, Echo, Stress tests are done to rule out any developing pathology & get treated at the earliest.
In the meantime stay away from addictions if any, do regular exercises & avoid oily, fatty junk food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
