What Causes Sudden Headache, intense Blurry Eye And Vomiting?
Hi. I am a 23 yr old female with no known medical conditions. Two days ago I was feeling one hundred percent normal when suddenly I felt like I had something in my eye and all of a sudden I was seeing blurry out of my left eye (like dark spots) and after 15min or so it cleared up quite a bit. Then the most intense headache (only right side) I ve ever felt came on (in a snap of a finger). Within 15min of the headache onset I was nauseous and vomiting. I iced my headache to numb the pain and after a few hours of rest it seemed to subdue. I was left with a sore head the next day and a dull migraine type pain again. Today is day three since the onset of first symptoms and again I got a bad headache (not as terrible, but sensitive to light and pretty painful) and I have been left with my vision a bit blurred on my left eye.
Hello dear, Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com. If you would have presented to me as an outpatient,I would have made the following clinical explanation- What you have described is the classical rather textbook description of migraine with visual aura. Visual aura followed by severe headache associated with nausea and improved after rest-is the typical sequence of events in migraine with aura. You are having this headache episodically again confirms it of being migraine. This time you are having photophobia, again a hallmark feature of migraine. Please discuss with your physician to put you on preventive and abortive therapy for migraine and I hope you will be fine.I hope it helps.
