I get sudden spells of being very tired. They come on quickly and I feel exhausted and lethargic. I ve taken aspirin and it seems to help me snap out of the feeling. My doctor doesn t find anything wrong with this so I want a direction to go before I go back to the doctor.
Hi thanks for using HCM... Sudden spells of lethargy could be due to so many reasons. If you are extremely stressed physically or mentally can cause lethargy. you have to check for some common abnormalities
1.Thyroid profile 2.Complete Blood Count 3.Liver Function test 4.Blood sugar values -FBS/PPBS/HbA1C
If the HbA1C is in borderline or the post prabdial is on the lower side please do a Glucose Tolerance test (Extended GTT) GTT is the test usually we do in pregnancy to detect diabetes. But sometimes it is used to find out hypoglycemias. You can do an extended GTT which will be taking 4samples after taking oral glucose..
please do these tests and consult with your physician....
