What Causes Sudden Execessive Loss Of Hair?

i am a 58 year old female and all of a sudden noticed i have half the hair I used to a couple years ago.
It seemed to be gradual, not coming out in clumps. The hair i have grows longer but no new hair grows in.
Odd thing is my body hair does not grow either. I rarely have to shave my legs or underarms.
I have been tested for thryroid issues and everything is fine.
Any thoughts?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for hair loss. Hair fall can be due to any long term illness or any emotional or stressful event and due to nutritional deficiency or hormonal influence.

After illness or stress and nutritional dysfunction it is quite common to get hair fall because of change of nutritional and hormonal status.

If I were your dermatologist then would have prescribed you tablet containing Acetylcysteine, Calcium Pantothenate, Selenium, Zinc, Biotin, Copper as active ingredients. You can take these vitamins in the form of biotin, calicium pantothenate and other vitamin B complexes.

Take care.
