What Causes Sudden Drop In BP While On Lisinopril And Ziac?

i have been treated for blood pressure (high) for years. Recently, my blood pressure has run in the 90s/50s. just this minute, it is running 122/58. last week, my cardiologist cut my lisinopril from 10 mg to 5 mg and left my Ziac at the usual dosage of 6.25 (?). Should i be concerned about the drop in my bp. The cardiologist did blood work to see if there were other issues. I ve heard nothing from those results.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Low blood pressure is commonly related to inadequate fluid intake or abnormal electrolytes though there are also other causes.
It is possible that it may simply be related to fluid intake.

If there is no problem with your fluid use then other causes would need considered.
The blood tests and imaging of the heart (Eg by echo) may be needed.

Lowering the blood pressure medication should cause it to increase.

I hope this helps
