What Causes Sudden Dizziness In The Head While Sitting?

I ve recently started experiencing short bouts of dizziness or little shocks in my head/brain. They are hard to describe, but they can happen while I m sitting, and sometimes but definitely not always when I stand. I m dealing with some upper respiratory issues, but no trauma or new meds. Current meds include 81mg ASA, 10mg lipitor, and Zyrtec daily.
