What Causes Sudden Death After Taking Cortisone Injection?
my father in law at age 60 suddenly passed about 2 months ago. We told doctors he had recieved a shot at the doctors and it was to be cortisone. They told us that it would not be the cause of death and there was no need for an autopsy. Does this seam right to speculat sudden death or should they have done the autopy due to sudden death with no medical history of why this could have happen.

The most common cause of sudden death could be infarction (Cardiac arrest) and may not be cortisone injection because at the most this drug could anaphylaxis but this could be fatal in very rare condition and not the sudden death, hope this helps.
