I am 65 years old in reasonably good health. I have no allergies, slightly high blood pressure, which is being treated with Lisinopril 5 mg., mild gout, Allopurinol, 300 mg. and elevated triglycerides 200. For the second time in the last 3 or 4 months, I woke up in the middle of the night with what i can only describe as a severe allergy attack, almost anaphalactic. I felt a severe head rush, intense itching on my head and face that spread throughout my body, arms and legs. Looking in the mirror, i did not appear to be swelling but it felt like i was. I took a benadryl and symptoms subsided within a few minutes.
