What Causes Sudden Chill, Shaking And Shivering During Pregnancy?

Hi. I am 33 weeks pregnant and just experienced the strangest thing. I just got a terrible case of the chills and my entire body was shaking and shivering. It has passed but I am not sure if this is something to be concerned with. It is very warm here so there is no way I got cold from the weather.

Dear madam,I understand your concern. In my opinion if you have fever associated with chills it is worth ruling out urinary tract infection(UTI) and malaria.
My aim is not to make you tense and Iam not diagnosing the condition.Iam giving you the information as the UTI and malaria have similar features.
UTI is routinely seen during the 2 nd trimester of pregnancy.
Check if you have any other symptoms of UTI like increased frequency of urine, any burning urination ,backache.
So consult the doctor for apt treatment.Dont worry once the cause is treated you will be fine.
Take fluids upto 2 to 3 litres per day to prevent UTI s.
