What Causes Sudden Change In Pattern Of Menstrual Cycle?

Hello! For the past 3 months, my period has been about 6 days late each month. My normal cycle runs about every 30-31 days and for the past 3 months its been about every 36 days. This has never happened to me before and I m very concerned. I don t understand the sudden shift in my cycle and was wondering if I should be worried and get checked out. Thanks!

Hello,

I think you should not worry about the change in the cycle because it can just be a hormone imbalance.
You may need to do an ultrasound and pap smear. Using estroprogestative contraception pills can help you with this situation making the periods regular 28 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
