What Causes Strep Throat Along With Flu And Cold?

My daughter had supraglottoplasty laser surgery for larygomalacia at 6 weeks old. She is 12 years old now. She has been frequently sick the last 5 months with strep throat, flu and colds. She has had fevers and her throat hurts area by her voice box. Worried that it could be related to her epiglottis or that area.

Though it is unlikely that the cause for the infection is related to the surgery, it is advisable to get a throat check up done. Cold flu and recurrent strep can recur. I would advise proper completion of the antibiotics ie - to finish the complete course. Also the recurrent strep infection is a risk factor for rheumatic fever, it is highly advised to take proper prophylactic measures to avoid any complications.
