What Causes Stomach Swelling With Flatulence?

He s 5, 40 lbs and has no medical history. Very healthy boy. He has a bloated tummy. He had his Kindergarten shots 2 weeks ago and that next day he had vomit and diahhrea, and our whole family got a virus but his lasted a LOT longer and is still having tummy issues. He s been very gassy and our Doc put him on Lansoprazole once a day. It s NOT helping. He woke up last night very irritable and I ran him a warm bath and he finally started passing some gas, but he s the same way tonight. His tummy is huge! What else can I do? Would baking soda and water work? Should I go to the store and buy another over the counter gas med? Not sure what to do.

Pediatrician 's  Response
As a pediatrician I advise you to visit a pediatrician and get the patient clinically examined... Tell the details of diet patient currently taking daily... Increase amount of daily water intake and amount of fruits and green leafy vegetables... Pediatrician may suggest USG abdomen and some blood tests after proper history and clinical examination...
