What Causes Stomach Pain With Nausea And Fatigue?

I was recently in the hospital for severe stomach pains, naseau, and vomiting. the last time I vomited it was black liquid. they released me from the hospital with the prescription omeprazole but I still have stomach pains and stay fatigued. what do you think is the problem if any?

Hi,

I noted the history of being in hospital for severe stomach pains, nausea and vomiting, vomited black liquid, released from hospital with a prescription of Omeprazole but still the stomach hurts and there is a fatigue.

I would like to let you know further that vomiting, nausea and severe stomach pain is indicative of an inflammatory process going on in the abdomen. I would advise you the following in such a situation:

- Upper GI Endoscopy as there looks to be gastritis of some sort.

- Ultrasound of abdomen.

- X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.

- Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon and a plan for further management as per the clinical picture, investigations and symptoms.
