I am 11.5 weeks pregnant, about a week ago the bottom of my stomach started hurting when i walk or move my legs in a certain direction. Over the past few days it has gotten so bad I can barely walk. Is this pregnancy related? Is there something wrong with the baby? Or have I just pulled a muscle??

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I can understand your concern. Dull ache in lower abdomen is common in an early pregnancy is common. - The increase in certain movements can be due to muscle pulling/ nerve pressure of growing foetus. - Frequency of urination & retention of urine may cause such pain. But it should not be so bad to make walking difficult. This sign suggests need for a Gynecological check up with pathological tests like- urine testing & pelvic USG . This is to be followed by specific drugs prescribed by your doctor. Thanks.
