Hi, Thank you for trusting Healthcare Magic.

Management of diabetes requires education, healthy diet, physical activity, and medication if necessary in order to prevent complications.
Then about the complaints of vomiting and diarrhea, you're mother is not the only one. About 75% of diabetic patients come to the doctor with symptoms of the digestive tract. Impaired digestive organs can vary from the oral cavity to the large intestine and anus.

Examples of complaints include:
- Flatulence,
- Difficult bowel movements,
- Stomach pain,
- Nausea and vomiting, and
- Diarrhea.

Keep in mind that diabetes is a systemic disease that can affect various organs of the body.
1. One of the factors that cause digestive complaints is due to neurological disorders caused by diabetes that supply the digestive system.
2. Some other factors that can cause diarrhea and nausea are side effects of diabetes drugs such as Metformin, the presence of gastrointestinal infections, and others.

To determine the cause, it is necessary to do a physical examination and support by the treating doctor for your Mother to get the optimal treatment. If your mother are diagnosed with diabetes gatropathy, your doctor will give her some medications such as insulin or anti diabetics to control her blood sugar, metoclopramide, domperidone or antibiotics such as erythromycin.

Make sure you manage her diet wisely and also well hydrated.
Take care.
