What Causes Stomach Pain Despite A Normal Endoscopy?

My 68 yo sister went through endoscopy of the stomach today. No ona can seem to find the cause of her horrible stomach pain that shoots upward towards the left shoulder. This has been going on for for several months now. She s down to less than 100 lbs. Any ideas?

Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* In presence of normal endoscopy , extraluminal causes have to be
considered for the same as

- diaphragm problems - adjacent structures giving discomfort as
liver , gall bladder , pancreas , spleen - sign of remote pathology as
appendicitis or else .

* Needs further details of the case study and relevant work up for
reaching the diagnosis at root level .

Hope this will help you for sure .
Regards .
