My mother is 92 yrs. old in a nursing home. She had a massive subdural from a fall 2 yrs. ago. She has dementia and has had Tia s recently. Her doctor prescribed aggrenox. She is unable to swallow the capsule, so nursing staff is breaking it and putting the contents in apple sauce and administering it to her all at once. I had them put a stop to this because she was experiencing stomach pain and loss of appetite.since this is a time release capsule, she is getting full 12 hr. Dosage at once. Her Dr. Does not like that I put a stop to it, but I do not know if he is aware of the improper administration. What should I do?
