What Causes Stomach Discomfort After A Colonoscopy?

I have symptoms that began shortly after a recent colonoscopy. Symptoms consist of stomach discomfort (noisy gurgling) and discomfort, especially in the upper stomach area under my breasts. Also, my stool, since the procedure, has been runny. Normally a very active person, every few weeks, I am listless, seemingly losing every once of energy/stamina and can only lie in bed and get up for short periods of time. This period is accompanied by an absence of appetite for days, causing me to lose weight. I am wondering if my symptoms are consistent with a perforated colon. I am almost 69 years old.

The most common side effects of colonoscopy are cramping pain and abdominal swelling caused by the air used to inflate the colon during the procedure.
So,in my opinion you are suffering side effects of colonoscopy. The symptoms will pass in a few days.
